Lead Mechanical Engineer (LMESC0325)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and lead the mechanical design team to execute and complete the mechanical FEED and detailed design work.
  • Report to the technical or department manager, plan the design schedule, define the scope of work, estimate manpower, and ensure the quality of mechanical design deliverables.
  • Review customer documents, specifications, mechanical datasheets, FEED design verifications, and calculations.
  • Responsible for sizing and selecting rotary equipment, issuing mechanical datasheets, approving process equipment layouts, participating in FAT, MC, and pre-commissioning activities, and providing problem-solving solutions.
  • Check technical specifications and datasheets for static equipment such as pressure vessels, separators, process vessels, S&T heat exchangers, air coolers, tanks, and packages (e.g., glycol dehydration, chemical injection, H2S removal, produced water treatment).
  • Approve material requisitions (MR) for equipment packages and conduct technical bid evaluations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Shipbuilding or Oil & Gas Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
  • Extensive experience in leading or directly participating in the complete topside mechanical design process (including FEED and detailed design) for FPSO/Production platforms.
  • Proficient in Mechanical Design Engineering software such as PV Elite, Nozzle Pro, and HTRI.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Classification Rules and related Offshore Standards/Regulations.
  • Willingness to travel as required, including but not limited to shipyards in Southeast Asia, China, and the Middle East.
